Keep the selection precise
Listen for a clean start and finish. Mark those timestamps and switch from Video to Audio before sending the clip. Check the saved file in your editor, including the first and last beat, before placing it on your timeline.
Name it for how you will use it
Podcast-soundbite is easier to find than an unexplained source title. Group ambience, dialogue, and effects separately. Keep the source and any usage license with your collection: being able to save a sound does not automatically give you permission to reuse it.
